Ranger Day at Lanhydrock – Hazel Pollarding (Free event)

Saturday 16th February 2019 between 10am & 3pm

Fancy helping the ranger team ‘hazel pollarding’ in the spectacular wooded estate of this magnificent late Victorian country house then join them on Saturday 16th February. As an added bonus you are welcome to take any hazel sticks that you cut home with you.

Training the Troops at Pendennis Castle

Monday 18th to Friday 22nd February 2019

Pendennis Castle is one of Henry VIII’s finest coastal fortresses and English Heritage are inviting you ‘to step back to the time of the Second World War and join the castle’s Drill Sergeant to be put through your paces in the castle obstacle course. Bodmin & Wenford Railway – Kids for a Quid!

Sunday 17th to Sunday 24th February 2019

Travel back in time with a scenic ride on Cornwall’s premier steam railway. This family-friendly day out includes activity and colouring sheets, along with the chance to learn more about the railway’s history and operations with the dressing up box.
