Days Out

Steeped in history and tradition, Cornwall has interesting and iconic places to visit. The National Trust in Cornwall has more than 25 historic places and gardens.

The Minack Theatre

The Minack Theatre is the most famous cliffside open-air theatre in the world; from above it looks as though it had been built two thousand years ago. In fact, it was just under eighty years ago that there was nothing there except a sloping gully of gorse and heather overlooking the sea. From 1931 until she died in 1983 the Minack Theatre was planned, built and financed by one determined woman – Rowena Cade. Visit to see a performance in the evening, during the day or simply just to see the breathtaking view. Opening times vary so check www.minack.com for details.
